...and a good time was had by all at Party on the Heath 2021.
As a celebration for staff, families, new working relationships and clients alike, we hosted our first 'Party on the Heath', hopefully the first of annual event.
With over 200 guests, we were all entertained with fantastic music from Coco and the Butterfields, amazing street food from Little Bears' Kitchen, comedy from Mark Simmons and Gareth Dorian and local ale from The Musket Brewery.
The event started with a full technology display of our INSTABOOM and SOSEC range of anti-incursion barriers as well as the latest haul-route crossing and mobile CCTV offerings from SRL Traffic Systems.
During the gorgeous autumn Kent sunshine, the event was opened up to families of staff and volunteers from The Princess Project to enjoy a family fun afternoon, after school. Over 30 families were able to enjoy the bucking broncho, bouncy castle, wipe out challenge and amazing gourmet pizzas, burgers and crepes.
As the evening moved on, clients and co-workers from across the highways sector were able to get together for the first in over a year to dance, network, laugh, let their hair down and be merry. A very welcome break from the normal black tie event - and a long overdue chance to be together.
During the evening, the generosity of the guests allowed us to make a donation of nearly £1000 to our charity of the evening, The Princess Project, helping them to do what they do best, support single families in Maidstone and Medway.
Here's to Party on the Heath 2022 - we look forward to seeing you next year.
